Scientists have embarked on a quest to map one-eighth of the entire sky looking for clues about dark energy, the mysterious force believed to be responsible for the ever-accelerating expansion of the universe.

Though scientists think dark energy comprises 74 percent of the universe, they do not fully understand what it is. Dark energy, for now, is the name given to the force that seems to be working against gravity, causing the expansion of the universe to speed up instead of slow down. I chose this article because I think it's really interesting that scientist have found out about the space's dark energy and how it is is a force that goes against gravity.
I think it's important to know what dark energy is, to understand what it is and to know what it can cause.
I think it's really cool how rapidly scientists are piecing together the mysteries of the universe! I agree with you, it's extremely important that we investigate mor about this "Dark Energy". Sounds like something Voldemort would do! just kidding :P
